01
The date that matters now
BULKHEAD says WARDOGS will launch into Steam Early Access on September 10, 2026. The Steam store data and the developer announcement show the same date. That is the next confirmed playable milestone after the August Closed Beta.
The Closed Beta ran from August 21 through August 23. It is over. If the Playtest entry remains in your Steam library on August 24 but will not connect, that does not prove your installation is broken; the scheduled server window has closed.
02
What pre-order access meant
The August 11 announcement said a pre-order guaranteed access to the August Closed Beta, while Steam Playtest requests were selected in smaller waves. That promise applied to the finished August 21–23 event. It should not be read as a guarantee of another beta weekend.
The base edition was listed at US$39.99 when this page was checked. Regional pricing and store availability can differ, so the price shown in your own Steam client is the authority for your account.

What is confirmed and what is not
- Confirmed: Steam Early Access is scheduled for September 10, 2026.
- Confirmed: the August 21–23 Closed Beta and its access window have ended.
- Confirmed: the current store listing is Windows-only.
- Not confirmed: another beta, an open beta, a console test, or a preload date for Early Access.
- Not confirmed: that a Playtest library entry will remain usable before September 10.
Status pages age quickly. Check the developer announcement feed before acting on a countdown, key offer, or “beta is live” post from another site.

The clean next step
Wishlist or purchase only through the official Steam listing, then watch the official announcement feed for preload or schedule changes. Avoid third-party “beta key” pages. The developer already explained that Steam key capacity was limited during testing, and no current source authorizes outside key sellers.
