What the store supports today
The official Steam data marks Windows as supported and does not mark macOS or Linux. The developer FAQ says the game is currently being developed for PC and that future platform availability will be considered as development progresses.
That is not an Xbox or PlayStation confirmation. No console date, console beta, cross-save plan, or crossplay promise is present in the sources checked on August 24.

Controller status
The developer FAQ describes controller support in the current version as limited. A player saying that controller input failed during the Closed Beta does not establish the final September behavior, but it reinforces that full controller parity should not be assumed.
Keyboard and mouse is the safest expected input for the current PC build. Wait for an official compatibility statement before buying specifically for controller-only play.

Linux and Steam Deck status
In a Steam discussion, a developer replied that Linux was not a priority at that time, although it could enter the roadmap after more pressing issues. That is a possibility, not support.
Easy Anti-Cheat can be compatible with some Linux games when configured by the developer, but that general capability does not make WARDOGS supported. The Steam store’s Windows-only flag remains the current product signal.

Buying decision checklist
- Buy for Windows PC support that exists, not a hoped-for port.
- Treat “works through Proton” reports as community experiments, not support guarantees.
- Do not assume Steam Deck compatibility from the presence of a Steam listing.
- Do not assume console crossplay before a console build is announced.
- Recheck the store and FAQ after major Early Access updates.
